Custom Applications
Matta Products Ltd. recognizes that there are occasions when our standard range of safety surfaces may not meet certain individual requirements for these cases we can create bespoke Work Matta™ flooring to meet specific needs: whether special additives are used to counteract unique environmental factors; adapt our manufacturing processes to obtain particular ESD grades or technical results; make mat with specially calibrated ergonomic compression values; or creating a special surface design or color batches. Manufacturing of non-standard Work Matta™ safety surfaces is based on minimum order requirements.
WORK MATTA™ Additives
The ergonomic and safety function of a Work Matta™ Floor Above the Floor can be enhanced with selected special additives introduced during the manufacturing process. These compounds are designed to counteract a variety of environmental factors that can affect the installation of a common safety surface and therefore the operation of your business.
The standard range of Matta additives includes:
- Antimicrobial Agents
These additives actively inhibit bacterial and fungal growth and are recommended for Work Matta™ tile applications in food processing and ablution areas where water is prevalent and where it is important to maintain high sanitary standards.
- Antifreeze Agents
These additives work to protect your Work Matta™ safety surface against exposure to low temperatures, such as industrial freezer installations and other extreme environmental conditions.
- Fire Resistant Agents
The fire resistant properties of standard Work Matta™ tiles can be increased for applications where a proactive fire safety protocol is required, such as military installations and industrial foundries.

Easy to Clean
Work Matta® safety flooring is an easy-care product that can be cleaned just like any other floor surface "“ by sweeping, vacuuming, washing and scrubbing. Most vinyl floor cleaners that have a neutral pH are suitable for use on Work Matta®. If bleach is required, use a non-chlorine-based product. Scratch marks can be removed with an aromatic hydrocarbon, such as mineral spirits, which should be cleaned or rinsed afterwards. Exposure to sulfur-based oils or fluids containing emulsifiers should be minimized and any puddling or water accumulation should be cleaned up immediately using standard absorption techniques, followed by washing with a neutral pH detergent.
We recommend testing agents of which you have doubts, first in a small area.
Modular Design
Work Matta® safety flooring systems are simple to install, as well as adaptable. Modular mats can be easily configured to fit a wide variety of applications. Its modular design allows you to replace only those parts that are worn without having to invest in high maintenance costs.
