VGAGE LLC, formerly Valenite Gaging Systems is an ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 17025 accredited company, started over forty years ago designing and building all types of gages for the World manufacturing market. Our diverse product line resulting from our research and development has been expanded and continues to grow with new products added every year. Our new name and ownership allows us to focus on what we do best—gaging customer service and support. We will continue to maintain a dedicated service staff and be ready to react to your service needs.

CUSTOM GAGING

Our experience and know how helps us to provide custom gaging solutions for a variety of applications in the automotive industry such as engines, transmissions, drive trains, chassis and components as well as gaging solutions in the defense, plastics and consumer products industries.

TOOL CARTS
Custom design and build of special tool carts and stands is another service VGAGE has to offer our customers. If you want to get a heavy tool in position and make it easy to load it into the machine we can provide a solution to make the job easier and safer.

 

 

 

IN-LINE GAGES

In-Line Gages historically have been the trademark of VGAGE. Working with machine builders to provide the best solution for part inspection and in some cases tool feedback/compensation. Measurement with contact probes or non-contact air can be provided depending on the customer's needs.

 

 

 

AUTO/SEMI AUTO GAGES

VGAGE is a premier designer and builder of automatic gage machines. Many of these machines are in line and check features of high volume parts. Other systems are gantry or robot loaded to provide a complete automated solution for inspection. These systems are also capable of providing feedback to the machine to provide a closed loop process thus enhancing the productivity of the system.

 

 

GAGE STATIONS/BENCHES

VGAGE has been providing customers with complete gaging solutions. Part of this, is the ability to store the hand gages and fixture gages on a bench or stand. The benches supplied include custom designed storage to provide specific tagged positions for each gage. Training aids can also be placed on the back of the bench to provide the operators with clear procedures on the inspection process of parts.

STAND ALONE FIXTURE GAGES

Larger parts require stand alone fixture gages. Unlike CMM's these gages are usually located near the machining process and provide quick feedback to the operator to let him know that the tooling is set up properly. VGAGE can provide custom design and build of these types of gages for all types of parts.

 

 

 

 

FIXTURE/BENCH GAGES

The Spherical Case Gage is a simple yet effective electronic fixture gage to check the size, profile, and location of the spherical diameter inside the case. The part is manually loaded over a gage spindle and into a set of V nests to locate the part. The hub diameters are also measured to electronically establish the true centerline of the part. A tapered pin is placed in one of the cross pinholes to locate and orient the part. The operator then actuates a manual valve to advance the internal gage probes. By taking readings in four coordinates the results are calculated and displayed on a gaging computer.

 

AIR SPINDLES/RINGS

VGAGE designs and builds custom air spindles and rings. Measuring with air is a non-contact type of measurement that is very accurate and repeatable. There are no moving parts to stick or fail. Our air spindles/rings repeat to sub micron levels when used in conjunction with our air converter and instrumentation. When you want accuracy on your shop floor and your parts have tight tolerances, nothing beats our air spindles/rings. Contact us to advise you on the best style for your application

The VGA produces detailed SPC screen displays and printed reports that give you all the information you need for process management. With its ability to measure and compensate based on statistics, the VE-767 is an important tool in the metal removal and selective assembly industry. Gage measurements are dynamically displayed in real time on a high resolution LCD graphics screen that shows either a video, digital picture, bitmap, or CAD representation of the part. Data is archived within the VE-767 and can be output in a wide variety of ways. VGAGE PRO 6 SOFTWARE

The VGAGE Pro 6 software uses a Windows XP / 2000 operating system that provides the operator with gage screens and an SPC package that includes; X-Bar, histogram, trend, capability, pareto, range, standard deviation, and measurement history charts. The software also has password protection, a setup screen, and the ability to report, store, and archive data in GR&R, Excel, Microsoft® Access, Text and QDAS formats. The configuration aspects of the new VGAGE Pro 6 software allow gage application programs to be standard or customized for special applications. VGAGE Pro 6 is a dimensional gaging and tooling compensation software system that is applied to basic and complex gaging systems.

 

VGAGE EXCEL 6 ADD IN SOFTWARE

The VGAGE 6 Excel Add In for Excel® software enables readings from up to 31 VGAGE digital transducers and placing them in cells of a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet. All the standard functions of Excel can be applied to each customized program. The program is designed to work with VGAGE Digital Transducers and other VGAGE standard products. The software can be purchased alone or VGAGE can develop a turnkey package specific to your application.

TOOL COMPENSATORS

VGAGE produces some of the best tool compensators in the industry. We were pioneers in the field and continue to develop product for state-of-the-art tool control. Our servo-controlled compensators complemented with our gages and tooling can provide control systems to significantly increase production of quality parts.

VGAGE offers several systems for tool compensation. Transfer lines, pallet systems and even CNC packages are available. VGAGE also specializes in retro fitting existing equipment that was not purchased with a tool compensation ir outfitted with a compeditors tool control system. In fact VGAGE has replaced over 100 competitor systems around the world. Whether you are generating a feature or finishing a bore, VGAGE has a solution for you.

If we do not have a standard compensator that will fit your application we will design a customer compensator to meet your requirement.

401-500    Original servo controlled, replaced by 401-600, fully supported.

401-600    Heavy duty servo controlled available in both wet or dry models.

SPINDLE
VGAGE specializes in new spindle set up.
VGAGE can assemble your tool, spindle and compensator at our facility. Then VGAGE can test the compensating system proving tool repeatability and performance before machine installation.
VGAGE has been able to save valuable installation time by assembling the complete system and shipping a tested assembly ready for installation.
VGAGE can also repair your spindle, tool and compensator the same way. By using one company you can save time, money and eliminate communication between several suppliers. Service Engineers are also available to assist in trouble shooting, removal and installation of your tool compensator, spindle and tooling.

CNC INTERFACES

VGAGE has the ideal CNC interface for small to large operations. Our tool compensation products interface with almost all CNC controllers to provide manual or automatic tool offsets. They can also be connected serially with gages to compensate based on trends for closed loop machine control. Our units are excellent for machines or cells where guarding or fencing limits access to the CNC control. Our setup and program parameters are easily inputted from keypad or with a PC program .

CNC Comp Mate
The Comp Mate accepts serial data from virtually any electronic measuring device or your existing SPC software. The unit provides manual or automatic tool offsets to CNC machines. The automatic compensation is based on fixed or rolling average (Trend). The device is excellent for machines or cells where guarding or fencing limits access to the CNC control. Set up is easy through the front panel keypad and display or offline with a PC Program. The Comp Mate can even shut down the machine if a part is out of specification.

CALIBRATION LAB

Our know-how extends to our calibration and certification lab. VGAGE offers custom-tailored calibration and certification services. Our metrology lab is quite impressive—the personnel and methods have been granted accreditation to the ISO17025:1999 Standard. The environmental conditions of the Metrology Lab are equally impressive, incorporating a dual environmental monitoring system, airlock door entry, and continuously holding a temperature rated at 68° ± 1” F with relative humidity controlled to 40% - 50%./

Probes
At VGAGE we stock hundreds of probes ready for quick shipment to new and existing customers. We know how important it is to keep your gaging equipment up and running and this is why we keep so many analog and digital probes in house.

At VGAGE we stock many of the most common probe and indicator tips used in our gages. We also make and alter tips as required for special application. So whether it is a carbide, chrome, ruby or diamond contact we are your quality source.

 

 

 

Valve Seat Gage

The hand held motorized valve seat gage allows ease of use with very accurate results that are not influenced by the operator. When the unit is placed into the part a cycle will automatically start. The motor driven head rotates and provides a total indicated reading of the roundness of the seat and the runout of the seat to the valve guide. The readings are taken from two very small transducers integrated into the read head. If you need an accurate and economical solution to inspect valves seats, VGAGE has the solution for you.

VE-101/111
The updated VE-101/111 is a programmable micro-processor based multi input column that accepts LVDT and air inputs. Featuring intuitive displays, electronic zero and gain, analog zero / gain / balance, TIR, BCD and Serial output, and relay output, the VE-101/111 provides the ultimate in shop floor flexibility.

VE-03
VGAGE is proud to introduce the new VE-03 Air to Electronic Converter. When gaging requirements dictate the use of a non-contact air probe, the results may be displayed on an electronic column or gage amplifier through the use of the VE-03 Air to Electronic Converter. The VE-03 is very compact and designed to mount as a free-standing unit to a standard DIN rail. The unit is completely sealed making it impervious to coolant, dust and any other impurities which may otherwise compromise the gaging function. VGAGE offers the VE-03 as part of our complete line of products designed to provide gaging solutions for close-tolerance, high–production inspection.

 

VE-70
The new VE-70 air saver can easily pay for itself in a short time. Measurement with air is still a very stable and accurate way to inspect parts. Instead of having the air supply on continuously, the air saver can control when and how long the air will remain on. It will automatically time out and shut off the air when the gage is not being used.

 

 

VE-18
The new VGAGE VE-18 Digital Micrometer has been designed to calibrate probes, dial, and digital indicators to satisfy measurement system analysis requirements. Whether it's to set the correct gain on a transducer or verifying the linearity, the VE-18 will satisfy these needs.

TESTING

VGAGE offers a complete range of testing solutions. If you are inspecting a part we can supply the solution you need.
VGAGE can supply Eddy Current systems to verify treads, perform crack detection, porosity verification and material defects.
VGAGE can also design a leak detection system to verify part quality to your specifications.

THREAD INSPECTION

VGAGE has implemented internal and external thread verification systems to check thread integrity and depth by using both Eddy Current and contact methods.
We can design and install a non contact Eddy Current system to meet your application. Eddy Current offers a great solution for a non contact method of inspecting threads.
 Our contact systems have an advantage over Eddy Current in that it tests and verifies that the mating parts will assemble. We can check one or several holes simultaneously. There are 2 options for contact verification, one method uses a specially designed tool that will engage the thread and determine if the thread meets the go / no-go requirements. The second method uses a custom gage head that contacts the thread and measures the features of the thread. These measurements can be recorded and processed in our SPC software.

VGAGE has over 30 years experience integrating custom and standard tooling packages. Our specialty is providing a complete system that will cut, measure and compensate your operation. Our systems are in operation around the world providing a simple solution to many complex applications. Our tooling packages offer customers peace of mind related to quality and performance.
