Pump Protection

A sanitary SI Series flow switch is mounted in the pump input line to guard against pump damage. The sensor’s microprocessor has the ability to “learn” the high and low flow conditions of an application. The SI flow sensor has no moving parts that can stick, or break and contaminate the process. The abrasion-resistant stainless steel sensor probe is not susceptible to damage from solids in the fluid stream.
Tank Temperature

TR Series sanitary temperature sensors can be used to monitor tank temperatures. The control monitor is packaged in a compact, stainless steel housing that is connected to a platinum RTD probe and inserted directly in the process. This innovative modular mounting system is easy to install and offers great flexibility to meet application requirements. Set-up is simple with the sensor's integrated three-digit display and pushbutton adjustment.
Level Detection

The PI Series sanitary pressure sensors detect level in tanks. The weight of the liquid creates pressure on the sensor's diaphragm. As the level changes, the pressure output changes. The sensor displays continuous level and offers an analog and a switching output.

Line pressure

These units incorporate a ceramic sensing element that can withstand pressure spikes that typically occur with quick closing valves. The sensor provides an analog and a switching output and features a numeric display that allows the setpoint and resetpoint to be programmed before the switch is installed. The numeric display also eliminates the need for a gauge.
Manway Cover Position

efector m proximity switches with extended sensing ranges, are ideal for detecting the open and closed position of manway covers. Designed for washdown applications, these stainless steel switches are extremely compatible with industrial cleaning solutions. They feature an FDA-approved Victrex Peek™ sensing face and are tested to the IP69K high pressure cleaning standard. To assure proper mounting and reduce installation time, efector m switches have a setup LED.
Lubrication Pressure

PN pressure sensors monitor lubrication system pressure for separator spindle bearings. The sensor's three-digit numeric display and pushbuttons allow programming of the setpoints. The numeric display also eliminates the need for a gauge. The PN sensor provides both analog and switching outputs.

Quarter Turn Valve Position

For quarter-turn valve position, the IND Series proximity switch and target puck form a non-contact feedback system. This solution is a simple and reliable replacement for switchboxes. The switch and puck are compatible with all actuators using ISO Namur (VDE 3845) standard mounting and can be hard-wired or connected using the AS-i wiring system.
Rising Stem Valve Position

ifm efector has a variety of proximity switches that are ideal for sensing the 'open and closed' position of a rising stem valve. Series IF, IJ and IS switches can be mounted in the valve top for non-contact sensing of the stem. A highly-visible output LED indicates the position of the valve.
AS-i Bus System
Quick disconnect valve position sensors are networked via the AS-i bus system. AS-i provides power and allows data exchange over a single two-wire cable, replacing costly parallel wiring. This method of wiring reduces wiring costs and is easy to upgrade.
