GWR Level Sensor
efector gwr Level Sensor Detects Level in Small Tanks
• The gwr sensor uses guided wave radar technology to reliably detect the level of medium.
• The sensing probe ignores metal deposits and build-up and reliably monitors the level of the medium.
• The stainless steel housing and sensor rod allow the sensor to be used in applications such as parts cleaning, coolant monitoring and water treatment.
• Simple setup. The parameters such as medium, set- point and reset-point are established by simply pressing a pushbutton. The current level and the parameters are visible at a glance on the 4-digit alphanumeric display.
• The efector gwr is directly mounted into the tank via a threaded process connection or metal bracket. Power and output are provided with an M12 connector. If needed, the probe can be cut to length.
• Medium temperature up to 176°F
Introducing the efector gwr level sensor for measuring level in small tanks.
Mechanical float switches can stick in an application due to metal deposits. Vibration forks offer slightly better performance, but many are required to detect the level of the medium. Traditional GWR level sensors offers an improved performance.
High performance at a low price
The efector gwr provides all of the advantages of reliable level detection using innovative guided wave radar technology at a very low price. Alternative level solutions may offer a lower price but may not perform in challenging applications.
Signal strength
The efector gwr signal strength is stronger than capacitive technology due to its higher frequency. The signal strength allows the sensor to ignore build up, making it more reliable in the application.

Guided Wave Radar Technology
An innovative measuring principle using guided wave radar technology
The efector gwr level sensor applies reliable micropulse technology (TDR=Time Domain Reflectometry) to measure the distance traveled to the medium using electromagnetic pulses in the nanosecond range.
Using the sensor’s high frequency technology, these pulses are guided along the surface of the probe. When the microwave pulse hits the medium, it is partly reflected. The time between transmitting and receiving the pulse is directly proportional to the travelled distance which provides the current level of the medium.
Simple mounting and set-up
Easy installation

Even if there are deposits, the sensor reliably monitors the level of the
medium. The stainless steel housing and sensor rod allow the sensor to
be used in applications such as parts cleaning, coolant monitoring and water treatment.

The efector gwr is directly mounted into the tank via a threaded process connection or metal bracket. Power and output are provided with an M12 connector. If needed, the probe can be cut to length by the user.
User-friendly parameter setting

The parameters such as medium, setpoint and reset-point are established by simply pressing a pushbutton. The current level and the parameters are visible at a glance on the 4-digit alphanumeric display.

Applications
Even if there are deposits, the sensor reliably monitors the level of the medium. In applications with increased foam – which can challenge many level switches – efector gwr differentiates between the foam and the liquid to provide exact level indication.
In industrial part washer applications the efector gwr reliably detects the level of aqueous cleaning agents at medium temperatures up to 176 °F (80° C).
The efector gwr level sensor reliably monitors the level of coolants for machine tools even in difficult applications such as grey cast iron processing.
